Yoga is a spiritual practice that does not subscribe nor promote any particular
faith; hence it can be practiced by all. It simply teaches us how to live
with a healthy body and peaceful mind. The practice of yoga increases flexibility;
increases lubrication of the joints, ligaments and tendons, massages all organs
of the body, provides complete detoxification and excellent toning of the
muscles.
Yoga lessons at Atami Hotel take place in two sessions; in the mornings
at 08:15 – 09:15 and at 17:30 – 18:30 in the afternoons. Classes
last one hour and they are held with attendance of at least two persons.

MEDITATION

REIKI
Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also
promotes healing. It is administered by “laying on hands” and
is based on the idea that an unseen “life force energy” flows
through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's "life force energy"
is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high,
we are more capable of being happy and healthy.

MELEK MJAANES
Melek Mjaanes, has been teaching yoga for over 20 years in New York, San Francisco,
Netherlands and in Turkey.
Melek has developed herself in flow style Hatha yoga. She combined yoga with
Reiki, Rebirthing, Body Electronics, Tai Chi and Chakra Meditation and formed
a new style. She specialized in Hakomi Therapy and Emotional Freedom Technique
in order to help her students resolve their emotional problems. Melek teaches
yoga in a very soft flow style and enjoys helping her students to make the
desired changes in their lives and helping them to get to know about themselves
better. She has taught many students in New York, San Franciso, Netherlands
and in Turkey.
