AEGEAN FESTIVAL, YALIKAVAK

The aim of the festival is to entertain the people with the same food, music, folklore and past while eating at the same table and singing the same old songs… The two cultures, Greek and Turkish cultures will meet at Port Bodrum Yalikavak Marina.
The
Aegean Festival is held between 12-19 August at the marina: During the festival,
there will be the concerts of Turkish and Greek singers, music and dance performances,
Aegean food shows and also other acitivities.
The main sponsor of the festival is Avea, the hosts are Bodrum Yalikavak Marina
and the Yalikavak Municipality, the art sponsor is Kayra Winery.
Painting,
sculpture and photography exhibitions will be held at the Art Corner. The
artworks of Ali Atmaca and Eli Zara and the photography of Mehmet Günyeli,
Temel Tacal, Sitki Kösemen and Mehmet Ömür will be exhibited.
The media sponsors are Hürriyet Newspaper and YACHT Turkish Magazine.
Every evening, Yoitta Muhalleli and Group Tropos will perform Greek Dances before the concerts.
The
Festival will begin at 19:00 on 12 August 2006, Saturday.
